Shalini Bahl nominated Jeff Brown this week as the “Deer in the Spotlight.” It takes a lot to become “Deer in the Spotlight.” ­ it takes qualities like self-less actions, standing up for what you believe in and practicing many of the principles we have defined as core values.

Jeff Brown is our “Deer in the Spotlight” because he is living out his convictions. Jeff started Ride Buzz, a non-profit that seeks to “help people share rides, reduce their carbon footprint, save money and get around in socially friendly ways.”

Shalini shares that Jeff uses innovations in social networking and internet-based technology to connect people. Like our Deers, Jeff saw an issue that he felt passionate about, and did something about it. His efforts have helped to provide alternative transportation solutions that help people and the environment.
Jeff has done some great footwork for the rest of us to follow behind. At a minimum, can each of us choose a few days a year when we use public transit or services like Ride Buzz?
