Trish… Those two white bikes are “ghost bikes” - symbols used across the country to memorialize bikers killed on the road. Those particular memorials are to Lee Ann Barry and Tom Hoskins, struck by a car during a charity ride in 2007. (Details at http://www.ghostbikes.org/charlotte/lee-anne-barry-and-tom-hoskins).

Please use them as a reminder to ride safely and rest often.
