I may have some Dancing Deer cookies to blame for my labor!
Hi Trish…I had to email you to let you know that I had my baby…and I may have some Dancing Deer cookies to blame for my labor! I do not have much of a sweet tooth but my husband and I were in Whole Foods last Sunday and the triple chocolate cookies looked very tempting…later that day, after consuming most of the packet, I started to feel some low key contractions….and on Monday night my labor started…..then on February 23rd after 21 hours of labor our beautiful baby was born via c-section…weighing in at 7 pounds 13 ounces (those extra ounces must have been the cookies). Not sure if it was the cookies or the fact she was almost a week late…but I thought you would enjoy the story.

Rich, but don’t leave my fingers greasy
Just wanted to let you know that I received my free Patriotic Shortbread Stars! They are yummy. Rich, but don’t leave my fingers greasy like so many “traditional” brands. Yum!

I’m cheering you on from Denver!
I love your goodies and as director of parent relations at the University of Denver, I always purchase them for Moms & Dads Weekend registrations. Since our Whole Foods no longer carries Dancing Deer, I ordered 2 cases for this weekend. You have a wonderful company. I heard your president interviewed on NPR. I’m cheering you on from Denver!

PLEASE do not ever change this cookie’s recipe and I will love them, and buy them, forever…
I purchased your Molasses Clove cookies at Ellwood Thompson’s here in Richmond, VA yesterday and WOW, they remind me so much of my grandmother’s applesauce cake! Mee-maw died in 1974 and my mother, the last person to make the applesauce cake properly, died in 2003. You cannot imagine what a huge dose of nostalgia I got when I bit into that first cookie and experienced those simple yet wonderful flavors; it was like being a little girl again!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making your Molasses Clove cookies without chocolate or nuts, which I detest, and raisins, which I detest more and are undeniably the true spawn of Satan. PLEASE do not ever change this cookie’s recipe and I will love them, and buy them, forever. They are now my occasional comfort food, knocking the venerable but emotionally inferior Chee-tos to a distant second. Plus, your cookies don’t give me orange fingers.
In cookie lust,
