Longtime lover of your wonderful cookies and progressive attitude toward the planet
Dear Folks at Dancing Deer,
I’m a longtime lover of your wonderful cookies and progressive attitude toward the planet. Keep it up!
Quick funny story: I’m trying to cut down on my consumption of sweets so when I treat myself to a package of your cookies, I’ll take one or two to enjoy and then ““hide”” the rest. The other day I found a package with two cookies left that I had forgotten about. The ““expiration”” date was April 7. Well, I’m happy to say that they were still absolutely delicious—today, April 28! A little firmer than usual but not stale or dried out and perfect for dunking in my fatfree milk!
Thanks for your excellent products.

Thanks for the inspiration!
To Trish Karter and staff:
Just wanted to let you know what a great business story Dancing Deer Bakery is. I’m a business coach, and I’ll be recommending Alpha Dogs to all of my clients. Don’t know if that’s gonna lead to much new business for you, but at least you know Donna Fenn did you right—thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks to the book I went out and had my first Dancing Deer cookies—MMMM ... just like homemade!

Over the moon
I just wanted to take a moment to heap praise upon you for the wonderful
Valentine’s Day chocolate assortment you sent my sweet babboo. It was a
HUGE hit. Everything arrived on time (crucial for a big day like
Valentine’s Day) was intact, and looked great. I tasted the chocolate
tangerine cookes, and they were so wonderful. As a baker/cook myself, I
could really appreciate the fresh taste of real ingredients - the citrus
zest tasted freshly grated. He was over the moon about the chocolate
ganache cake. Since I live with a dedicated chocloholic, I imagine this is
the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship. I might have to try
some of the other things for myself as well…
A grateful and delighted new customer.

Just keep the goodies coming
Trish: Just talked to a dear friend in Florida. We always send her and her husband a cake at Christmas. Our Florida friend has a friend in Boston who did her a special favor, so our Florida friend sent her a Dancing Deer cake by way of thanks. The Boston friend called Florida immediately upon receipt: “HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT MY DANCING DEER? EVERYONE HERE KNOWS IT’S THE BEST CAKE IN THE WORLD!!” True Boston provincialism or just plain “hometown” enthusiasm???? Whatever—just keep the goodies coming.

Bear eats cookies
Dear Dancing Deer -
Last week, I placed the order below for the spring hand-decorated cookie collection for my mom. I was excited to send her the cookies, because I love Dancing Deer cookies and I thought these Easter cookies were beautiful. I believe that they were delivered to her home safely. She was not home when they arrived, and when she got home she found a huge hole in the box. There were no cookies inside, it had been emptied out. In the past few weeks she and neighbors have seen a bear wandering around the neighborhood and her best guess is that the bear got them before she had the chance. I’ve attached photos of what the box looked like when she got home. The bear clearly knew it had found a good thing. So, unfortunately, she never got to enjoy your Easter cookies. But, it makes for a good story that I thought you would like to hear. Thank you.
